BMU
BMU MACHINE:
A BMU is a suspended access equipment, usually suspended from the roof, which moves systematically over some surface of a structure while positioning the cradle in front of the façade to maintain or clean the covered surfaces.
FEATURES OF BMU MACHINE:
- Building Maintenance Units are required on the more complicated building designs, and provide a sophisticated façade access solution.
- They are usually mounted permanently at roof level, and are the safest and most complete form of suspended access system, providing full lateral, horizontal and vertical movement of the working platform, in order to access all external facades of a building.
- The design of the machine, its specifications, positioning on the structure are customized based on the requirements of the project.
- The machine could be horizontally traversing on a custom rail track laid on the roof or any other surface of a structure. Alternatively, the machine could be static at a position and only have vertical and horizontal movements about its position involving a Telescopic mast (an extendable vertical post) or Telescopic jib (an extendable, rotating arm).
